Amid the rain in the past week, the French Camp softball team played one game, a 13-1 loss to Sebastopol, but had three others postponed.
Abby Leathers had two hits against Sebastopol and scored the Lady Panthers’ run on an RBI groundout by Emory Peacock.
Rainouts were Ray Brooks, Louisville and Columbus. Ray Brooks, a Region 5-1A game, will be made up as part of a home doubleheader March 28. Coach Todd Chesser said an attempt will be made to reschedule the Louisville and Columbus games.
Weather permitting, the Lady Panthers will have a home region game with Nanih Waiya Thursday and a home doubleheader with Winona Friday.
BASEBALL
The Panthers were defeated by Calhoun City 17-1 and Winston Academy 7-5. French Camp led Calhoun City 1-0 after two innings, but the Wildcats took command with five runs in the second.
Winston Academy overcame a 5-2 deficit with two runs in the fourth and three in the sixth.
Grace Christian-New Summit game changed to doubleheader

Grace Christian's scheduled season opening baseball game with New Summit was rained out. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader in Jackson on March 26.
Coach Ralph Goss said his team has been able to practice and is looking forward to games. When the Eagles are able to play, he said some of the younger players might have first game jitters, “But other than that, we will be all right.”
The Eagles have a home game Thursday with Hebron Christian.
