The Golden State Warriors are returning to the NBA Finals for the fifth year in a row. They previously won the championship in 2015, 2017, and 2019.
The Warriors have done nothing except succeed throughout these years, especially this past season. Their record was 57-25 behind their monstrous starting lineup. They were lead by three all stars—Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant. Curry and Durant also received All-NBA honors.
They were also lead by All-NBA Defensive player, Draymond Green.
They have done nothing but succeed throughout the playoffs without their star player Durant, who has been out due to injury. Since the injury, Stephen Curry steppes up and has been averaging more than 30 points per game. While the Warriors may be looking for their seventh championship, Coach Steve Kerr will be searching for his ninth championship (fourth as a coach).
The Warriors have had a long playoff road to get back to the championship after having to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers in 6 games, the Houston Rockets in 6 games, and most recently the Portland Trail Blazers In 4 games. Many people are saying if the warriors Win the championship that Kevin Durant should change teams during free-agency, for the sake of his legacy. He has not made many public comments on the topic but there have been many teams rumored to land him this offseason. Thompson has also been rumored to leave the Warriors in free agency, but with he and Curry’s chemistry, that is not likely.
This team has done nothing but succeed and win championships together and I don’t see them breaking up soon.
