It was another rough week on the hardwoods as Nanih Waiya entered into its division schedule.
The Warriors lost a pair of tough contests, falling 51-47 to Hamilton and 51-39 to Vardaman. The Lady Warriors lost 48-21 to Hamilton and 51-25 to Vardaman.
Nanih Waiya will return to action this week as they host Starkville Christian on Tuesday. Then on Friday, Nanih Waiya will travel to rival Noxapater on Friday. Nanih Waiya will then play Sebastopol on Saturday at East Central.

The Lions took a four-point lead in the first and were able to hold that advantage in a division contest on Tuesday.
Hamilton led 12-8 at the end of the first and Nanih Waiya outscored the Lions 15-13 in the second and trailed 25-23 at the half. In a back-and-forth second half, Hamilton outscored Nanih Waiya 16-15 in the third and 10-9 in the fourth for the final margin.
Tyquan McCully led Nanih Waiya with 17 points while Jordan Higginbotham had nine points. Jaynus Williams also had eight points. Higginbotham led the Warriors with five rebounds while McCully, Trey McMullan and Ethan Daily each had four rebounds. McMullan had three assists while McCully had four steals and Rodney Welch added three steals.

After a slow start, Hamilton pulled away with big middle periods to take the win.
Hamilton led 8-5 at the end of the first and then outscored the Lady Warriors 20-6 to take a 28-11 lead at the half. The Lady Lions pulled away in the third by outscoring the Lady Warriors 16-4 to lead 44-15 going into the fourth.
T.J. Redhouse led Nanih Waiya with five points while Madison Alford and Jalia Cotton each had four points apiece.

The Rams jumped out to a big lead and took a 12-point win over the Warriors on friday.
Vardaman led 15-5 at the end of the first and 25-19 at he half. The Rams extended the lead in the second half as they outscored the Warriors 9-7 in the third and 17-13 in the fourth.
Tyquan McCully led Nanih Waiya with 11 points while Jordan Higginbotham and Ethan Dailey each had eight points apiece.
Izaiaha Nicholson led the Warriors with eight rebounds while McCully had six rebounds.

The Lady Rams built a big lead in the first half and cruised to the win on Friday.
Vardaman led 19-3 at the end of the first and outscored Nanih Waiya 16-5 in the second to lead 35-8 at the half. The Lady Rams outscored the Lady Warriors 11-4 in the this for a 46-12 lead.
Jalia Cotton led Nanih Waiya with five points while Dallyn Nance and Madison Alford each had four points apiece.
