The Wolverines of East Webster will put their unbeaten streak on the line as they host Class 3A Choctaw County on Friday night at 7. The Chargers opened up with a 34-20 over Independence but the lost 42-14 to Winona and 24-21 to Calhoun City.
“They are going to be the most athletic team that we have played to this point,” East Webster head coach Ron Price said of CCHS. “It will be a challenge and has turned out to be a big rivalry game. It will be a good test for us to see if we are a team that is capable of going and winning some playoff games. They are a talented football team and have a lot of weapons on offense and some good-looking players on defense.”

EAGLES FACE TOUGH TEST
FRIDAY
Eupora High School will get another solid test on the football field as they travel to Union on Friday. Union is 2-0 on the season after having last week off. The Yellowjackets beat Choctaw Central 42-21 in the opener and then beat Nanih Waiya 35-24 in week two.
EHS head coach Stephen Edwards knows he will have his hands full with the Yellowjackets, who are the two-time defending state champions in powerlifting.
“They are a well coached team,” Edwards said. “They are big up front and one of the state’s best powerlifting teams. They run to the football on defense and are talented on offense.
