The East Webster Lady Wolverines clawed back to the .500 mark this week with a pair of blowout victories.
The Lady Wolverines hammered Vardaman 11-3 and shutout Charleston 15-0 on Thursday.
East Webster, now 4-4 on the season, will return to action this week with a pair of division games as they will travel to Winona on Tuesday. After a Thursday contest at Ethel, the Lady Wolverines will host Leflore County on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Vardaman 3
The Lady Wolverines pounded out 12 hits and took an eight-run win over Vardaman on Thursday in the first game of a doubleheader.
After each team scored two runs in the first inning, East Webster took control as they plated two in the third and six in the fourth to cruise to the win.
East Webster had 12 hits in the contest and got a strong game out of the bottom of the lineup as Emma McKee and Sydney Dewberry each had two hits and drove in three runs apiece. Emily Nason was 2-for-2 with a double, two walks and three runs scored. Mari-Todd Brown was also 2-for-4 while whitney Winter and Coy Jennings each scored two runs apiece. Jessica Davis also had a double.
Liz Massey picked up the win with a complete-game performance as she scattered four hits and allowed three runs. She struck out five and walked three while giving up just one earned run.

Charleston 0
Two pitchers combined on a one-hitter as the Lady Wolverines took a four-inning, run-rule victory in their second game of the day on Thursday.
East scored early and often as they plated three in the first, six in the second, five in the third and one in the fourth.
East Webster had 10 hits and took advantage of seven errors by Charleston. Whitney Winter had a big game at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBIs. Jessica Davis was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored. Mari-Todd Brown scored three times and had two RBIs while Coy Jennings, Peyton Flora, and Curtlyn blake each scored twice.
Jessica Davis got the start and picked up the win as she threw three hitless innings while striking out five. Abby Williams pitched the last inning and gave up one hit and struck out one.
