The Noxapater Tigers squeezed out a victory around two blowout losses last week.
The Tigers started the week with an 18-6 loss to Louisville before hammering Leake County 13-2 on Friday. The Tigers finished the week with a 17-1 loss to Lake on Saturday.
The Tigers have two games scheduled this week as they will play Lake again at Forest on Tuesday at 11 a.m. and Forest at 1:30 p.m.
Louisville 18,
Noxapater 6
The Wildcats built a 13-1 lead after two innings and handed the Tigers a five-inning, run-rule decision on Thursday.
Louisville scored four in the first and nine in the the second.The Wildcats added two in the third and fifth innings and a single run in the fourth.
Noxapater scored one in the first and fifth innings and four runs in the fourth.
The Tigers had five hits but committed six errors.
Depodray Coburn led the Tigers at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Ty Duran had a single and scored two runs while Dalton Keen had a single and drove in two runs. Lane Bailey, Chaney Davis and Landon Bailey each scored runs.
Hunter Johnson got the start and pitched one inning, giving up seven runs on three hits and four walks. Landon Bailey pitched 3 2/3 innings and gave up 11 runs on nine hits while walking three and striking out two.

Leake County 2
The Tigers had nine hits and took advantage of 11 walks and seven hit batters by Leake County to take a six-inning, run-rule victory on Friday.
After a scoreless first inning, Noxapater scored three in the second and third innings to go up 6-0. The Tigers added one in the fourth, two in the fifth and four in the sixth to end the contest.
Hunter Johnson was 2-for-4 with four RBIs while Riley Jones was 2-for-3 with three runs scored. Lane Bailey was 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and four runs scored. Ty Duran walked three times and stole two bases. Cardale Eichelberger also drew three walks, stole two bases and scored twice. Depodray Coburn and Dalton Keen each had singles and drove in two runs while Zach Kimbrel had Noxapater’s other hit and drove in a run.
Ty Duran got the start and picked up the win as he pitched five innings, giving up two runs as he scattered eight hits and struck out five. Nick Stone pitched the final inning and got three outs on five pitches.
Lake 17,

The Hornets hammered out 14 hits and needed just three and a half innings to beat the visiting Tigers by the run rule on Saturday.
Lake scored seven in the first, two in the second and eight in the third while Noxapater scored one in the third.
Noxapater had just one hit in the contest, a double by Hunter Johnson while Riley Jones scored the Tigers’ only run.
Nick Stone got the start on the mound and pitched two innings, giving up 10 runs on nine hits while walking two and striking out three. Hunter Johnson pitched the final inning, giving up seven runs on five hits and four walks.
