The college football regular season is over, so now it's time to discuss who are the top four candidates to make the College Football Playoffs following the conclusion of the regular season.
At the number one spot is powerhouse Alabama Crimson Tide. They have dominated this whole entire season from the start. They have scored over 45 points in nine out of their 12 regular season games. They will play the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC championship Saturday in what will be a very fun game to watch. Tua Tagnavailoa continues to lead the Heisman candidates by just dominating every defense in his path. Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is also a big weapon as he is one of the leaders for the Biletnikoff award, for the nation's best receiver. Alabama also has a great defense that hasn’t allowed any games to be close this year with just pure dominance. This Alabama team is my number one in the nation.
At the number two spot I have the Clemson Tigers. They have an undefeated season led by coach Dabo Sweeney and quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The stout defense is led by defensive linemen Dexter Lawrence, and Clelin Ferrel.
At the number three spot I have the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Irish have an undefeated season defeating Michigan in their first game. They are led by head coach Brian Kelley and starting quarterback Ian Book, who has helped lead the team to an undefeated season.
At number four I have the Georgia Bulldogs. They won the SEC East and are headed to Atlanta to face the Alabama Crimson Tide. That will be do or die for the Bulldogs where they will be out of the top four if they lose. They are having an incredible season with only one loss dominating everyone in their path. They are led by head coach Kirby Smart and the depth of quarterbacks Jake Fromm and dual threat Justin Fields.
