When this week began, the Eupora Lady Eagles were still waiting to get their softball season started after their weekend tournament was rained out.
“We were in for a big day on Saturday,” head coach Amir Hunt said. “We had our big softball classic and meet the Eagles that night and it all got rained out. We had five teams coming and I hate that we didn’t get to play them.”

FIRST WEEK GOES WELL FOR WOLVERINES
There were no big surprises in week one of practice for the East Webster Football team.
“It was a traditional first week of practice,” EWHS head football coach Ron Price said. “We went the first few days in shorts and then put pads on on Wednesday. We had our first team scrimmage on Saturday and that went well. We made a few careless mistakes. As far as attitude and effort, we are excited about the potential. I think we are talented. But it’s the same story as last year, we are talented but just lacking experience.”
