The Eagles of Eupora will now get a home playoff game as they host Northside, who is 12-0 on the season.
Eupora head coach Stephen Edwards said they have impressive wins over Amanda Elzy and Charleston this season. Last week, they beat Madison St. Joseph 62-0 to open the playoffs.
“They are big and athletic,” Edwards said. “They are probably the favorite along with Calhoun City to make the championship game so it will be a challenge for us. They have some quality wins over Amanda Elzy and Charleston so that tells me something about them. Their coach was at Hollandale Simmons so you know they will be well coached. Nobody is picking us so we are just trying to prove everybody wrong. We have to coach, practice and believe that we can win this game. I’m just thankful for the opportunity to play at this point.”
