The Division 3-1A schedule hasn’t been any kinder to Noxapater than its non-division one was.
Both teams were swept this past week, losing both games to Vardaman and West Lowndes.
Noxapater will return to action this week as they travel to Hamilton on Tuesday and will host Nanih Waiya in the Cross Creek rivalry on Friday.
The boys fell to Vardaman 57-41 and to West Lowndes 65-32.
Against Vardaman, Noxapater trailed 25-13 at the half. The Tigers outscored the Rams 14-9 in the third to cut the score to 34-27. But that was as close as they got as the Rams used a 20-13 fourth period to take the win. K.D. Carter led the Tigers with 17 points while Ryan Whitfield had 16 points.
Against West Lowndes, the Panthers outscored the Tigers in every period as they took a 23-point win. West led 11-4 at the end of the first and 25-12 at the half. West outscored Noxapater 16-9 in the third and 24-11 in the fourth. Bryon Glass led the Tigers with 10 points while Ryan Whitfield had eight points.
