The 2018 high school softball season for fast-pitch teams will get under way Friday, when Nanih Waiya, Louisville and Noxapater take part in the round-robin Winston County Classic.
This year’s tournament will be hosted by Noxapater.
Action begins at 3:30 p.m., on Friday, when Nanih Waiya battles Noxapater. At 5 p.m., Nanih Waiya will face Louisville; and at 6:30 p.m., Louisville will play Noxapater.
Nanih Waiya will continue its season on Tuesday (Feb. 27) with a trip to Kosciusko, while Louisville and Noxapater will tangle again on Monday (Feb. 26) in Louisville.
