Noxapater won a pair of vents at the Region 3-1A track meet last week at Ridgeland High School.
The Tigers won the 400 relay (48.45) and the 800 relay (1:43.27). Members of the 400 relay team are Dontavious Rush, an eighth grader, junior LaJohnathan Young, junior Joshua McClendon and Claderikus Carter, an eighth grader. Rush, Young, McClendon and freshman Bryan Glass run on the 800 relay team.
The top four in each event qualified for the South State meet Saturday at Madison Central High School.
For the Noxapater girls, junior Kim Edwards was third in the 100 hurdles and junior Morgan Hunter was third in the shot put. For the boys, Glass was second in the 200 and fourth in the long jump and sophomore Ryan Whitfield was third in the shot put and fourth in the discus.
