After losing two of three games in the regular season to rival Nanih Waiya, Noxapater got the win that mattered most last Tuesday as they ended the Warriors season with a 50-41 loss in the Division 6-1A Tournament.
The Tigers finished fourth in the tournament and also lost 72-41 to West Lowndes ad 64-52 to Vardaman.
The Tigers enter the Class 1A playoffs as the No. 4 seed out of Division 6-1A and were scheduled to travel to McAdams on Tuesday.

The Warriors used big second and fourth periods to pull away and beat the Warriors on Tuesday night’s elimination game at the Division 6-1A Tournament.
Nanih Waiya led 13-12 at the end of the first period but Noxapater outscored the Warriors 11-5 in the second to lead 23-18 at the half. The Warriors pulled with three in the third as they outscored the Tigers 13-11 to cut the lead to 34-31 going into the fourth. The Tigers finished off the game by outscoring Nanih Waiya 16-10 to take the win.
Jordan Higginbotham led Nanih Waiya with 10 points while Tyquan McCully and Jaynus Williams each had seven points apiece. Ethan Dailey and Izaiaha Nicholson each had five points apiece.
Bryon Glass led Noxapater with 11 points while K.D. Carter and Ryan Whitfield each had 10 points apiece.
West Lowndes 73,
Noxapater 41
The Panthers jumped out to a quick lead and cruised to a 32-point win.
West led 20-9 at the end of the first and 39-13 at the half. The Panthers extended the lead in the third, outscoring Noxapater 19-12 in the third to lead 58-25 heading to the fourth. Noxapater outscored West 16-14 in the fourth.
K.D. Carter led Noxapater with 14 points. Bryan Glass added eight points.
Vardaman boys 64,
Noxapater 52
The Rams started quick and closed strong to take a 12-point win over the Tigers in the consolation game of the 6-1A Tournament.
Vardaman led 22-9 at the end of the first before Noxapater outscored the Rams 18-14 in the second to cut the lead to 36-27 at the half. The Tigers outscored the Rams 17-12 in the third to cut the lead to 48-44 heading to the fourth. But Vardaman finished the game by outscoring Noxapater 16-8 to take the win.
Ryan Whitfield led Noxapater with 15 points while Kyle Phillips had 13 points.
