The Nanih Waiya Warriors wrapped up anther perfect run through Division 5-1A with a sweep of rival Noxapater last week.
The Warriors beat Noxapater 17-2 on Tuesday and finished off the sweep with a 10-0 win on Friday. The Warriors also had an 11-4 win over Choctaw County on Thursday.
Nanih Waiya, now 15-1 on the season will travel to Eupora on Tuesday in their regular-season finale. The Warriors finished unbeaten in division play and will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Class 1A playoffs. The Warriors will take on Okolona in the first round of the playoffs.
Noxapater falls to 6-13 on the season and is the No. 4 seed in the upcoming playoffs. The Tigers will finish off the regular season with a Monday trip to Lake and will host Sebastopol on Tuesday.
Nanih Waiya 17, Noxapater 2
The Warriors scored 15 unanswered runs in a five-inning, run-rule win over the Tigers on Tuesday.
Each team scored two runs in the first inning before Nanih Waiya scored six in the second, eight in the fourth and one in the fifth.
Nanih Waiya outhit Noxapater 13-7 as Jake Kight was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and a grand slam. Tanner Luke was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored while Shia Moore scored two runs and had two RBIs. Coley Taylor scored three runs and had two RBIs while Isaiah Conner and Taylor Higginbotham each doubled.
Hunter Johnson and Chevy Welborn were each 2-for-2 for Noxapater while Landon Bailey and Lane Bailey each singled and scored a run.
Taylor Higginbotham pitched three innings and scatters four hits and a walk while striking out five while Trevor Holdiness pitched two inning and struck out four.
Landon Bailey pitched 3 2/3 innings for Noxapater, giving up only five earned runs while Lane Bailey pitched the final 1 1/3 innings.
Nanih Waiya 10, Noxapater 0
The Warriors got a no-hitter from Tanner Luke to take a five-inning, run-rule win over the Tigers on Friday.
Nanih Waiya scored five in the second, two in the third and three in the fifth.
Nanih Waiya had 13 hits as Coley Taylor went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Cody Clark was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Tanner Luke was 2-for-4 with two RBIs while Shia Moore was 2-for-4 and scold two runs. Tatum Luke was 2-for-3 while Trevor Holdiness walked twice and scored twice.
Tanner Luke pitched all five innings and walked three while striking out seven.
Hunter Johnson started for Noxapater and pitched 3 2/3 innings while Nike Stone pitched the last inning.
Nanih Waiya 11, Choctaw County 4
The Warriors scored 10 runs in a three-inning stretch to take a seven-run win over the Chargers on Thursday.
Nanih Waiya scored one in the first, four in the fourth and three in the fifth and sixth innings.
Nanih Waiya outhit Choctaw 10-5 as Tatum Luke was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Tanner Luke was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored while Tylan Glass was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Jake Kight was 2-for-5 with a double while Cody Clark singled, walked twice and drove in two runs.
