It was another tough week for the Nanih Waiya basketball teams on the hardwoods.
Both teams lost two games as the Warriors fell 51-43 to Hamilton and 77-25 to West Lowndes. The Lady Warriors fell 49-31 to Hamilton and 45-22 to West Lowndes.
Nanih Waiya was scheduled to host Vardaman on Tuesday and host Noxapater on Friday night. They will finish the regular season next Thursday at home against West Lowndes.

The Lady Lions used quick starts to both halves to take an 18-point win over the Lady Warriors on Friday.
Hamilton jumped out to a 17-8 lead in the first half and led 24-13 at the half. Hamilton then pulled away in the third as they outscored Nanih Waiya 14-7 to take a 38-20 lead into the fourth where each team scored 11 points.
Morgan Mills led Nanih Waiya with 13 points while T.J. Redhouse had seven points. I’onnya Coleman also had six points for the Lady Warriors.

The Warriors overcame an early deficit but ended up taking a seven-point loss to the Lions on Friday.
Hamilton jumped out to a 16-9 lead in the first period before Nanih Waiya outscored the Lions 15-12 in the second to trail 28-24 at the half. The Warriors then outscored the Lions 12-8 in the third to tie the score at 36-36 going into the fourth. But the Lions were able to outscored the Warriors 15-7 in the fourth to take the win.
Tyquan McCully led Nanih Waiya with 14 points while Ethan Dailey had 11 points and Rodney Welch added 10 points.
West Lowndes girls 45,

The Lady Panthers outscored the Lady Warriors in every period to take a 23-point win over the Lady Warriors on Tuesday.
West led just 8-5 at the end of the first but outscored Nanih Waiya 18-7 in the second to lead 26-12 at the half. West continued to extend the lead in the second half, outscoring Nanih Waiya 11-3 in the third and 8-7 in the fourth.
Jalia Cotton led Nanih Waiya with eight points while I’onnya Coleman had five points and Bria Tubby added four points.

The Panthers dominated from the outset and handed the Warriors a 52-point loss on Tuesday night.
West led 13-5 at the end of the first and 33-14 at the half. The Panthers continued to extend the lead in the second half, outscoring Nanih Waiya 30-9 in the third and 14-2 in the fourth.
Rodney Welch led Nanih Waiya with 10 points while Tyquan McCully had six points.
Welch also had eight rebounds while Izaiaha Nicholson had five rebounds.
