Jason Morgan has returned to Grace Christian School as boys basketball coach, moving across the county from Nanih Waiya. He replaces Bobby Bowman, who resigned following a 12-4 season.
Morgan is also headmaster at Grace Christian. He was the Nanih Waiya coach the past two years. Prior to that, he coached at Grace Christian from 2001-077, Greenville Christian from 2007-0909, and after coaching in Tennessee, returned to Mississippi in 2017 as Nanih Waiya coach.
“My philosophy is very simple. I want to play the fastest 32 minutes I can play,” Morgan said. But he said that style might not work with the players he has at Grace Christian.
The boys and girls basketball teams will host a jamboree October 28. Talor Troyer returns as girls' coach.
The baseball coaching position is vacant following the resignation of Ralph Goss. Morgan has a candidate, but has not officially filled the position.
The only other coach at Grace Christian is Jamey Willers for volleyball.
