Louisville saw its five-game win streak come to a halt last week.
Kosciusko defeated the Wildcats 53-49 last Tuesday, and Noxubee County grabbed a 77-66 win on Friday.
The pair of losses also solidified a 0-4 regular season record for Louisville in games against the Whippets and Tigers this season.
Kosciusko produced two 20-point scorers against the Wildcats, as Antonio Harmon scored 24 points, while Terry Skinner erupted for 22 points. Calvin Banks chipped in with 12 points.
Louisville received valiant efforts from Tequavious Braggs (24 points), Shemar Eiland (16 points) and Tyrell Thames (10) points in the single-digit defeat.
Braggs again led the Wildcats in scoring against Noxubee County, as the tallied 20 points. Clayton Maury and Vasedrick Culberson each ended with 13 points, and Bryandrea Shumaker poured in 10 points.
However, Noxubee County secured the win behind a well-rounded offensive effort.
Five Tiger players scored in double-figures. Jadakiss Williams had a team-high 15 points, Zeterrius Rice added 14 points, Dantonio Deloach and Marlon Windham finished with 12 points apiece and Eldrick Hopskins chipped in with 10 points.
Noxubee County shot 6 of 7 from beyond the arc and 50 percent from the field to secure the win.
Hopkins pulled in a team-high 11 rebounds, while Rice and Windham grabbed 10 rebounds apiece.
Louisville is set to visit Leake Central on Thursday and entertain McAdams on Friday.
GIRLS
Louisville responded from its two-point loss to Ingomar on Jan. 19 by winning two of its three games last week.
The Lady Wildcats earned wins over Kosciusko (73-30) last Tuesday and Noxubee County (87-33) last Friday, and they dropped a 48-47 contest against Holmes County Central during Saturday’s Madison Central Classic.
Louisville on the season has outscored its opponents 1,368 to 686, and it is a perfect 7-0 at home. The Lady Wildcats have been just as formidable on the road, as they’re 8-1 in those games, and they’re 2-3 in neutral-site contests.
The Lady Wildcats remain unblemished at 6-0 in Region 4-4A games, and they sit at 17-4 overall on the season.
