The East Webster Lady Wolverines finally got a chance to get on the field after weeks of rain last week.
The Lady Wolverines responded with a 15-3 win over New Hope but then dropped a 4-3 decision to Amory.
East Webster is scheduled to return to action next week as the Lady Wolverines host Houlka on Tuesday. On Thursday, East Webster will host Bruce in a Division 2-2A contest.

The Lady Wolverines got the season started with a bang and needed just five innings to run-rule Class 4A New Hope.
The Lady Wolverines scored seven runs in the first inning, two in the third and six in the fifth.
The Lady Wolverines had 13 hits in the contest with six runners with multiple hits. Josie Reed led the Lady Wolverines, going 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and four RBIs. Emma McKee was 2-for-4 with a double, three runs scored and three rBIs. Peyton Flora was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and two RBIs while Curtlyn Blake was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Whitney Winter was 2-for-4 with two runs scored while Coy Jennings was also 2-for-3.
Liz Massey picked up the win in the circle, going five innings and giving up three runs on five hits while striking out five and walking two.

The Lady Panthers scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth and held off a late East Webster rally to take the win.
East Webster scored two in the top of the sixth and one in the top of the seventh but couldn’t complete the come-from-behind win.
East Webster had eight hits as Lexi Crenshaw was 2-for-4 with a triple and one RBI. Sydney Dewberry and Emma McKee each had RBI hits while Katelee Box singled and scored one run. Curtlyn Blake also had a double and a stolen base.
Liz Massey pitched all seven innings for the Lady Wolverines, giving up four runs, only two earned, on six hits. She also struck out four and walked two.
