East Webster won both of the games they played last week in blowout fashion. The Lady Wolverines beat Houlka 17-2 on Thursday and beat Calhoun City 17-7.
Against Houlka, the Lady Wolverines overcame a 2-1 deficit in the first inning and scored five runs in the second and third innings. They finished off with six runs in the fourth.
East Webster had 20 hits in the contest. Peyton Flora was 4-for-4 with four runs scored and three RBIs. Hallie Beth Reed was also 4-for-4 with a double and three runs scored while Marlie Brewer was 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs. Coy Jennings was 2-for-2 with a double, two walks, three runs scored and three RBIs. Emma McKee was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs while Reagan Plunkett was 2-for-2 with two walks and three runs scored. Abby Williams had two RBIs while Emma Jennings added a double.
There were no stats available for the Calhoun City game.
East Webster was set to play at Vardaman on Tuesday and at South Pontotoc on Thursday in their only scheduled action this week. Next week, East Webster will play at Neshoba Central on Monday, Aug. 26 and host South Pontotoc on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
