Rainouts, holidays, and schedule shuffling continued to play havoc with Louisville’s fast-pitch softball team.
The only action the Lady Wildcats saw last week leading up to the Easter break was a division contest on Tuesday against Kosciusko, which took a 14-0 win to drop LHS to 0-10 on the season.
Although any division games will have to be made up, Louisville was scheduled to host Leake Central on Tuesday this week before going to French Camp Academy on Thursday. Friday, the Lady Wildcats are scheduled to visit Choctaw County.
Next week, Louisville is scheduled to go to Eupora on Monday (April 9), go to Kosciusko on Tuesday (April 10), go to Noxubee County on Thursday (April 12) and host Nanih Waiya on Friday (April 13).
Last Tuesday against Kosciusko, the Lady Whippets’ Maddy Gilmore limited Louisville to three hits and struck out seven to get the rout-shortened win in the circle. Gilmore also had three hits and five RBIs to lead Kosy.
