The Nanih Waiya volleyball team won one match and lost two last week. The Lady Warriors defeated Kemper County High School 3-0, but lost to Amory and Aberdeen by 3-0 scores.
Nanih Waiya defeated Kemper County 25-13, 25-18, 25-12. Dallyn Nance had two kills and six aces for the Lady Warriors. Kaylee Gregory had two kills and two aces, I'onnya Coleman three aces and Jalia Cotton and Chloe Weeks five assists each.
Amory defeated Nanih Waiya 25-17, 25-18, 25-12. Aberdeen won 25-16, 25-17, 25-23.
All three were MHSAA Class I, Region 4 matches, leaving Nanih Waiya with a 2-2 region record and 6-3 overall.
Nanih Waiya played Noxapater Tuesday and has a home match Sept. 10 against Choctaw County. Both are region matches.
