The Noxapater Lady Tigers had their shot at Resurrection Catholic on Friday night but couldn’t capitalize on a 3-0 lead as the Lady Eagles took Game 1 of the series 4-3.
Resurrection finished off the series with an 8-3 win in Game 2 to end Noxapater’s season.
The Lady Tigers finish the season with an 9-8-1 record.

The Lady Tigers went up 3-0 but Resurrection fought back to take a one-run win on Friday night in Pascagoula.
Noxapater scored one in the first and two in the second to lead 3-0. But Resurrection scored single runs in the, second, fourth, fifth and sixth innings to take the win.
Noxapater outhit Resurrection 8-6 but committed six errors in the field.
Madelyn Wilkes was 2-for-3 with a triple while Kaitlyn Sanborn was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Princess Welch and Yolanda Cooper were each 2-for-3 and scored a run. Nona Wilkes and Raleigh Parker each had RBIs.
Lexi Thomas pitched all six innings for Noxapater and gave up four runs, three of which were unearned, on six hits and two walks while striking out six.

The Lady Tigers committed eight errors and gave up six unearned runs in a five-run loss on Saturday to end the season.
Resurrection scored two in the second and fifth and four in the fourth. Noxapater scored one in the fourth and two in the fifth for their runs.
Noxapater had five hits as Nona Wilkes was 3-for-4 with a double and one run scored. Kaitlyn Sanborn singled and scored while Lexi Thomas had Noxapater’s other hit.
Madelyn Wilkes also scored a run while Nona Wilkes had two stolen bases.
Madelyn Wilkes got the start in the circle and pitched four innings, giving up six runs, only two earned, on four hits and five walks while striking out six. Lexi Thomas pitched two innings of relief and gave up two unearned runs on one hit and two walks while striking out two.
