The French Camp softball team failed to make the MHSAA playoffs with a fourth-place finish in 5-1A.
The top three teams in each district qualified for the playoffs. For 5-1A, that is Ethel, Nanih Waiya and Noxapater.
French Camp finished 2-6 in district play. The Lady Panthers swept two games from Ray Brooks, but were swept by the other three teams.
French Camp lost twice last week, 14-2 to Nanih Waiya and 11-4 to Noxapater in the game that decided the final playoff spot.
Brookelyn Box had a big game for the Lady Panthers against Noxapater with a homer, double and three RBIs. Abby Leaathers led the team defensively with six put outs at third.
Against Nanih Waiya, Kayla Till and Emory Peacock each had an RBI.
French Camp was set to conclude its season with a game at J.Z.George Tuesday.
