The Eupora Lady Eagles used some dominating pitching to stay unbeaten this past week.
Pitcher Delta Newman was dominant as she struck out 15 against Starkville in a 2-0 win and followed that up with a perfect game in a 14-0 win against Louisville as she struck out 12.
The Lady Eagles, now 6-0 on the season, will host their Spring Break Tournament on Friday as they face Noxapater at 10 a.m. and Madison St. Joseph at 11:30 a.m. They will face Senatobia at 3:30 p.m. and Ethel at 5:30 p.m. to finish off the day.

Starkville 2
The Lady Eagles broke open a close game with six runs in the sixth inning to down Class 6A Starkville.
Starkville took the early lead with two runs in the bottom of the second. Eupora tied the game with two runs in the top of the fourth and took the lead with one in the top of the fifth. The Lady Eagles then pulled away with six runs in the top of the sixth.
Eupora had 10 hits in the contest as every batter in the lineup had at least one hit. Delta Newman was the only multiple hitter as she went 2-for-4 with a double, one run scored and one RBI. Haley Farley had a double and drove in four runs while scoring twice. Christiana Boren also scored two runs while Allie Reed had an RBI.
Newman also got the start in the circle and pitched seven innings as she gave up two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out 15.

Louisville 0
Eupora got a perfect game from Louisville as they took a five-inning, run-rule win on Friday.
Eupora scored two in the first and third innings and one in the fourth to go up 6-0. They finished the game off with eight runs in the top of the fifth.
Newman was dominant on the mound, pitched five perfect innings while striking out 12.
Eupora had 12 hits in the contest as Haley Farley was 3-for-3 with a double and four runs scored. Savannah Kilpatrick was 3-for-3 with a double, triple, two runs scored and two RBIs. Maleah Pogue was 2-for-3 while Christiana Boren had a triple and drove in two runs. Allie Reed also had a triple and scored twice.
