After dropping an early week game to perennial softball power Neshoba Central, Eupora bounced back to pick up a pair of slow-pitch wins in its on classic.
On Tuesday, the Lady Eagles beat Winona 12-1 to open division play. Addison Mason and Marleigh Abbott led the way as each went 3-for-3 while Abbott hit a three-run home run.
On Thursday, the Lady Eagles lost 7-4 to 5A power Neshoba Central, coached by Eupora native Trae Embry. Neshoba outhit Eupora 12-9 in the contest. Addison Mason continued her hot hitting, going 2-for-3. Haley Farley was also 2-for-3 with a double. Haylee McCrory and Maleagh Pogue each singed and drove in runs while Patience Bingham scored a run and had an RBI.
On Saturday, Eupora won two games as they beat Grenada 3-2 and French Camp 6-3 in the Eupora Classic that was rescheduled.
Against French Camp, Eupora had 10 hits. Haylee McCrory was 3-for-4 while Rylee Brooke Crowell was 2-for-3 with a pair of singles.
Against Grenada, Eupora managed just six hits as Haylee McCrory led the way, going 2-for-3. Ella Harrison, Mackenzie Reed-Wood, Rylee Brooke Crowell and Haley Farley had Eupora’s other hits.
Eupora will return to action this week as they are scheduled to host Vardaman on Tuesday and travel to Hatley on Tuesday for a division game. On Thursday, the Lady Eagles will host Winona in another division contest. On Saturday, the Lady Eagles are scheduled to host another tournament with times and games to be determined.
