The Choctaw County volleyball team made it four wins in a row with victories over Noxapater and West Lowndes.
The Lady Chargers easily defeated Noxapater 25-8, 25-16, 25-12. Against West Lowndes, Choctaw County rebounded after dropping the third set to win 25-12, 25-18, 21-25, 25-14. Both victories were Class I, Region 4 matches, improving the region record to 4-0.
Choctaw County has a match at Grace Christian Thursday and will play in the Corinth Crossroads Tournament Saturday. The next region game is scheduled for Sept. 10 at Nanih Waiya,

The Grace Christian School volleyball team had three straight set victories last week, outscoring opponents 225-92. The Lady Eagles defeated Louisville 25-5, 25-10, 25-14; Winston Academy 25-12, 25-13, 25-11; and Noxapater 25-13, 25-5, 25-9.
“We had a good week,” said coach Jamey Willers.
Grace Christian had strong serving, with some lengthy point streaks. Carly Peterson had 15 aces and 20 service points against Winston Academy and 15 aces and 28 service points against Noxapater. She started off the final set against Noxapater serving 18 straight points.
Against Louisville Maggie Phillips had six aces and 10 service points, Anna Howell two kills, Belle Hudson five assists and Annabell Crowder five service receptions.
Phillips had five kills against Winston Academy, Bella Brownlee five assists and Lenleigh Dobbs five service receptions.
Team leaders in the match with Noxapater were Jasmine Kelly with six kills, Brownlee with seven assists and Dobbs with three service receptions.
Grace Christian has a home match with Choctaw County Thursday. “We consider them our biggest rival,” Willers said.
On Friday, the Lady Eagles have home matches with Amory Christian and Mt. Zion Christian of Magee.
