Grace Christian boys basketball improved to 3-0 with a 76-47 win over homesteading Hebron Christian. The Eagles led 21-15 after the first quarter, then broke the game open by outscoring Hebron Christian 21-8 in the second quarter for a 42-23 halftime lead.
“We played well from the start,” said coach Bobby Bowman.
Alex Taylor led four Eagles in double figures with 23 points. Asher Hogue had 12 points, his brother Jacob scored 11, and Bonner Brownlee had 10.
Hebron Christian won the girls game 52-18. Tamia Brewer was the Lady Eagles’ top scorer with seven points.
“We played hard the whole game,” said coach Talor Troyer, who praised the play of Belle Hudson.
In the final games before Thanksgiving, the Eagles played Diamond Grove Monday and the Lady Eagles played Scott County Home School Tuesday.
