The Grace Christian boys basketball team split two games at the Impact Sports Christmas Invitational with a 46-44 victory over Pickens Academy of Alabama and a 51-38 loss to Kemper Academy.
"We were a little inconsistent at the tournament," said coach Jason Morgan. "Spotty transition defense against Kemper and poor rebounding both games."
But he added, “We are moving in the right direction."
Brothers Asher and Jacob Hogue returned to the lineup and combined for 18 points against Pickens. They had been sidelined since November with wrist injuries.
The girls team will play in a tournament at Meridian Home School gym Saturday. The Lady Eagles will play the host team, Mt. Zion and Laurel Home School in round robin play.
The next game for the Eagles will be next Tuesday at Laurel Home School.
