The Jones College Bobcats dominated the NJCAA All-Region 23 football team.
Head coach Steve Buckley's Bobcats had seven players selected to the team. Itawamba had the next most selections with four.
Wide receiver/return specialist Manny Jones (Amory), tight end Dontavious Porter (Heidelberg), tackle Jordan Chapman (Greene County) and running back Ladamian Webb (Opelika, Alabama) were named to the All-Region 23 team on offense.
End Chei Hill (Miami, Florida), linebacker Daylen Gill (Louisville) and cornerback Lakevias Daniel (Louisville) were named to the All-Region 23 team on defense.
All of these players were named All-MACJC earlier this week will be eligible for All-American honors. The NJCAA All-Americans will be announced in December.
Gill (6-0, 230) led the Bobcats in tackles with 61. He had 17.5 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, one interception, five quarterback hurries, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble. He was second in the conference and seventh in the nation in TFLs. He was named second-team All-MACJC in 2018. Gill has committed to Ole Miss.
Daniel (6-0, 175) had 18 tackles, three interceptions, one TFL, one sack, three pass breakups and one fumble recovery. He was sixth in the MACJC in interceptions. Daniel has committed to Ole Miss.
The All-Region 23 team was released last Thursday morning.
