Grace Christian made 12 free throws in the fourth quarter to pull away from Hebron Christian for a 47-38 victory.
The Eagles trailed 11-7 after one quarter, but took the lead 20-18 at the half. It was 31-27 for Grace Christian through three quarters and the Eagles added 16 points in the final period.
Taylor was the Eagles’ leading scorer with 25 points, including four free throws in the fourth quarter. Jacob Hogue was 4 of 5 and Micah Ballard 3 of 4 from the line during the fourth quarter.
GIRLS
The Lady Eagles were defeated by Hebron Christian 53-21.
“It was a good game,” said coach Talor Troyer. “We showed we have improved a lot since we first played them. We’re young and still learning.”
Carley Peterson scored 18 points for the Lady Eagles.
Grace Christian varsity teams completed the season with games Monday against Starkville Christian and Tuesday with Amory Christian,
