The French Camp baseball and softball teams swung back into action this week after being off for Spring Break.
The baseball team (3-2) was scheduled to play East Webster last Saturday, but the game was called off due to a wet field at East Webster. Coach Nathan Wright said an attempt will be made to reschedule, but that will be difficult because MHSAA Region 5-1A play begins this week.
The Panthers played Eupora Monday and will begin region play next Tuesday at Nanih Waiya, the defending state 1A champion.
The softball team played Sebastopol Tuesday. The Lady Panthers will be at Nanih Waiya Thursday, at West Lowndes for a doubleheader next Monday and at Noxapater the following day. Nanih Waiya and Noxapater are Region 5-1A games.
Coach Sarah Skidmore said the Lady Panthers used the time off to mainly work on hitting.
