The French Camp softball team rebounded from an opening game 9-4 loss to Sebastopol with a 29-19 victory over Louisville.
Abby Leathers led the Lady Panthers' offense against Louisville with a single, double and four RBIs. Brooklyn Box had two hits and drove home two runs, Katarina Hanten had had two hits and five RBIs, Kayla Till two hits and three RBIs and Katie Bowman had a double.
“We had lots of movement on the bases offensively,” said coach Sarah Skidmore. “We have to play the ball better defensively and reduce the bases allowed to our opponents.”
Box had a single, double and two RBIs against Sebastopol. Leathers had two single and Brianna Grice struck out 10.
“Overall, a good game,” Skidmore said.
French Camp played Ray Brooks Tuesday and will be at Ethel Thursday.
