French Camp Academy tennis improved to 4-1 with victories over Kosciusko 5-2, Eupora 4-3 and Winona 7-0.
In all three matches, Josh Miller won boys singles. Ella Copenhaven won girls singles and the duo of Bradley McGlothin and Jason May won No. 1 boys doubles.
“We’re playing very well,” said coach Larry Mincher. “We had a great effort against Eupora. They are a great team.”
The fourth point against Eupora was provided by Peter Clark and Brady Peacock at No. 2 boys doubles. With the score tied 3-3, the match came down to a 10-pont tiebreaker at No. 1 singles, with McGlothin and May winning to give French Camp the victory.
Against Kosciusko, French Camp also had victories from Cayley Tiller and Kenzie Seawright at No. 2 girls doubles and Cameron Smith and Ruthie Storment in mixed doubles.
The other four points in the sweep of Winona came from Smith and Storment in mixed doubles, Clark and Jeffery Jones in No. 2 boys doubles, Tiller and Seawright at No. 2 girls doubles and Grace Ann Wade and Raney Peacock in No. 1 girls doubles.
French Camp has a home match with Leland Thursday.
