French Camp Academy’s basketball games at West Lowndes scheduled for December 16 have been postponed until January 23 due to a threat of severe weather.
The next games for the Panthers and Lady Panthers will be Jan. 7 at home against Noxapater. It will French Camp's first Region 5-1A games of the season.
The Lady Panthers closed out the 2019 portion of their schedule with wins over Hebron Christian (48-37) and Winona, while the FCA boys beat Hebron 34-22, but fell to Winona 53-44.
Grace Christian takes win over Scott County

It was all good for the Grace Christian boys basketball team last week, with a victory on the court and welcome injury news off the court.
The Eagles defeated Scott County Home School 70-41 behind the play of Bonner Brownlee, who had 34 points and 10 rebounds. Micah Ballad contributed 11 rebounds, eight points and six assists.
“We go into the break playing our best basketball of the season,” said coach Jason Morgan. “I am very excited by the improvement we are showing.”
He is also excited about the imminent return of two key members of the team. Brothers Jacob and Asher Hogue have been sidelined for more than two months, each with a broken wrist.
Boys and girls games with Oxford School of Regents scheduled for Dec. 16 were canceled due to the threat of severe weather and will not be rescheduled.
The Eagles are not finished for the year. They will play in the Impact Christmas Shootout at MUW with games Friday against Pickens Academy of Alabama and Saturday against Kemper Academy.
The Lady Eagles will play in the Meridian Holiday Tournament Jan. 4.
