Squeezed in between two division games with East Webster, the Eupora Eagles took a pair of run-rule wins over J.Z. George on Thursday.
The Eagles hammered the Jaguars 16-0 and 22-6 in the doubleheader.
Eupora, now 6-9 on the year, will return to action this week as they host Bruce on Tuesday and travel to the Trojans on Friday.
Eupora 16, J.Z. George 0
The Eagles needed just three innings and took a run-rule win over J.Z. George on Thursday.
Eupora scored four in the first, six in the second and third innings.
Eupora had six hits and took advantage of 11errors and six hits in the win. Parker Knight drew four walks and scored three times while Ty Murphy and Carter May each walked twice and scored twice. Tanner Fletcher singled, scored twice and drove in two runs while Drew Tabb had two runs scored and two RBIs.
Fletcher got the start and pitched 1 1/3 innings and gave up two hits and struck out four. Carter May pitched 1 2/3 innings and struck out four.
Eupora 22, J.Z. George 6
The Eagles took a second three-inning win over the Jaguars on Thursday.
Eupora scored two in the first, 13 in the second and seven in the third. J.Z. George scored one in the second and five in the third.
The Eagles had 12 hits and 11 walks while Parker Knight was 2-for-2 with two singles, two walks, four runs scored and four RBIs. Reed Hale was 2-for-2 with two singles, two walks, three runs scored and two RBIs. Drew Tabb was 2-for-4 with two runs scored Carter may scored three times and Avery Tollison scored twice. Chris Robinson had three RBIs while Kimble Dillinger had two RBIs.
Robinson started on the mound and pitched 1 1/3 innings and gave up one run on one hit while striking out three. Ty Murphy pitched 2/3 of an inning and gave up two runs on three walks. Tabb pitched the final inning and gave up three runs on two hits while striking out two.
