The Eupora baseball team finally got to take the field this past week and dropped three out of four games.
The Eagles opened with an 8-3 loss to Nanih Waiya and then lost a 12-2 decision to Choctaw County on Friday. Then on Saturday, the Eagles lost 9-6 to Heritage Academy and picked up a 5-3 win over Oak Hill Academy.
Eupora, now 1-3 on the season will travel to French Camp Academy on Monday and host Nanih Waiya on Tuesday. They will finish the week off with a trip to Class 5A West Point on Friday.

Oak Hill 3
The Eagles grabbed their first win of the season on Saturday in a two-run win over Oak Hill Academy in a game played at Heritage Academy.
Eupora scored one in the first and fourth while scoring three in the third. Oak Hill scored one in the third, fourth and sixth innings.
Eupora had seven hits in the contest as ECCC signee Al Dumas was 2-for-2 with two runs scored, two walks and three stolen bases. Ian Garrard had two RBIs while Brett May and Carter May had RBI singles. Ash Dumas and Dustin Cabaniss each had singles and scored runs.
ECCC signee Tanner Knight picked up the win on the mound as he allowed only one hit but walked seven and gave up three runs. He struck out seven. Brett May pitched the final 1 2/3 innings and struck out four.
Heritage Academy 9,
Eupora 6
Heritage used a six-run sixth inning to beat the Eagles on Saturday in Columbus.
Heritage led 3-1 after three innings before Eupora scored two in the fourth and three in the fifth to go up 6-3. Heritage finally broke through with six runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the win.
Eupora had six hits in the contest. Ian Garrard and Carter May each had RBI singles while Tanner Knight scored two runs. Al Dumas, Brett May and Ash Dumas each had hits and scored runs while Garrett Crimm also had two RBIs.
Brett May pitched the first four innings, giving up three runs on four hits and four walks while striking out four. Al Dumas pitched the final two innings, giving up six runs, five of which were unearned, on three hits and four walks.
Nanih Waiya 8,

Class 1A powerhouse Nanih Waiya flexed its muscles on Tuesday as they took a five-run win over Eupora.
Nanih Waiya used a steady supply of offense to take the win as they scored in every inning while plating three in the third.
Eupora scored single runs in the second, fifth and sixth innings.
The Eagles had six hits in the contest as Tanner Knight was 3-for-3 on the day with a solo home run. Brett May, Ian Garrard and Dustin Cabaniss also had hits while Garrard and Zack cooper also scored runs.
Knight got the start and pitched 2 2/3 innings, giving up five runs on four hits, two of which were home runs. He also struck out three and walked one. Brett May also pitched 3 1/3 innings and gave up three runs on three hits and two earned runs while striking out five.
Choctaw County 12,

The Chargers used big bookend innings to take a six-inning, run-rule victory over the Eagles on Friday.
Eupora scratched run in the top of the first while Choctaw County responded with five in the bottom of the first and one in the second to lead 6-1after two. Eupora added another run in the top of the sixth while Eupora scored two in the fifth and four in the sixth.
Eupora had six hits on the day as Tanner Knight was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Knight scored on a Ash Dumas groundout. Al Dumas had a single, stole second and third and scored on a groundout by Brett May. Zack Cooper and Dustin Cabaniss each had singles for Eupora.
In all, five pitchers threw for Eupora. Brett May got the start and lasted only 2/3 of an inning, giving up five runs on three hits. Al Dumas walked the two batters he faces while Carter May threw 1 1/3 innings and gave up one run on four hits while striking out two. Cade Adkins threw three innings and gave up two runs on five hits while striking out six. Jacob Collum pitching the final 1/3 of an inning, giving up four runs on three walks and a hit, a home run.
