Neither of the Eupora basketball teams could manage a win last week.
The Eagles played tough as they lost to Calhoun City 58-47 and 45-42 to rival East Webster. The Lady Eagles fell 44-30 to Calhoun City and 45-18 to East Webster.
Eupora will return to play this week they travel to Bruce on Tuesday and will travel to Northside on Friday.. Next week, Eupora will travel to Houston on Tuesday, Jan. 22 and will host Winona on Friday, Jan. 25.

Calhoun City used big advantages in the first and third periods to take an 11-point win over the Eagles.
Calhoun City jumped out to a 16-10 lead in the first period before Eupora outscored the Wildcats 14-10 in the second to cut the lead to 26-24. Calhoun City then outscored Eupora 16-8 in the third to take a 42-32 lead into the fourth. Calhoun used a 16-15 advantage in the fourth for the final margin.
Camron Culpepper led the Eagles with 13 points while Jarrean Patterson had 12 points. Zak Morris had nine points and D.J. Patterson had six points.

The Lady Eagles started slow as Calhoun City outscored Eupora in every period to take the 14-point win.
Calhoun City jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the first period and outscored the Lady Eagles 14-9 in the second to take a 23-11 lead at the half. In a tight second half, Calhoun City outscored Eupora 11-10 in the third and 10-9 in the fourth.
“We played the best two teams in our district this week and Friday was without two players and our kids battled,” coach Jonathan Childs said. “We are playing a lot of freshman and sophomore players so there’s definitely going to be good days ahead.”
Kyla Patterson led the Lady Eagles with 12 points while Takiyah Townsend had 11 points.
