The East Webster tennis team pulled out a big tennis win over rival Eupora last week, taking a 5-2 win over the Eagles.
The Eupora tennis team won a pair of matches, beating Leland and Winona Christian 7-0.
Eupora will return to play this week as they travel to Bruce on Monday and will host the District 2-2A tournament on Tuesday.
East Webster 5, Eupora 2
The Wolverines took a three-point win, thanks to a trio of three-set wins.
On the girls side, East Webster took all three points as Meri Grace Gregg beat Gracie Burton 6-4, 4-6, 10-3 at girls singles. In girls doubles, Sydney Ferguson and Melony Berryhill beat Wesleigh Cummings and Lillian Winter 3-6, 6-0, 10-8 at the No. 1 spot while Jenna Flake and Lauren Graves won 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot.
On the boys side, Eupora was able to come away with two points as Grant Frank beat Mason Brand 6-3, 6-1. In doubles, Eupora’s John Thomas Frank and Garrett Crimm won 6-1, 7-5 at the No. 1 spot while East Webster’s Victor Mitchell and Cooper Reed won 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 2 spot.
In mixed doubles, EastWebster’s Kaleb Parish and Madison Gregg took a 4-6, 6-2, 10-6 win over Walker Mitchell and Belle Powell.
Eupora 7, Leland 0
The Eagles had little trouble as they took a shutout win over Leland on Monday, losing only seven points over seven matches.
On the girls side, Gracie Burton won 6-0, 6-2 at girls singles while Wesleigh Cummings and Lillian Winter won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 girls doubles. At No. 2 girls doubles, Jasi Brooke Galloway and Madison Goodrum won 6-1, 6-1.
On the boys side Grant Frank won 6-0, 6-0 in singles while John Thomas Frank and Garrett Crimm won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. The No. 2 boys doubles team of Cliff Jernigan and Woods Mitchell won by forfeit.
In mixed doubles, Walker Mitchell and Belle Powell cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win.

In girls singles, Gracie Burton came back from a first set loss to take a victory, winning 4-6, 6-1, 12-10 in a third-set tiebreaker. In girls doubles, Wesleigh Cummings and Lillian Winter cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 1 spot while Jasi Brooke Galloway and Madison Goodrum won 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 2 spot.
In mixed doubles, Walker Mitchell and Belle Powell also needed three sets to take a tight win as they won 7-6, 2-6, 10-5 for the victory and sweep of the Stars.
