The Eupora Eagles secured a playoff berth with a sweep of Northside.
The Eagles beat Northside 19-3 and 12-0 in their only action of the week.
Eupora is now 9-11 on the season and will host two-time defending 1A champion Nanih Waiya on Tuesday. The Eagles finished as the No. 4 seed in the division and will face East Union in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs. First-round series will be Friday, Saturday and Monday.
Eupora 19, Northside 3
The Eagles needed just three innings to take a run-rule win over Northside on Thursday.
Eupora scored nine in the first, seven in the seventh and three in the third. Northside scored three in the third for its runs.
Eupora outhit Northside 13-3 in the contest. Parker Knight was 3-for-3 with a double and four runs scored while Reed Hale was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and three RBIs. Carter May had a grand slam, scored twice and had six RBIs. Jacob Collum was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Ty Murphy walked twice and scored four runs while Cade Adkins scored three runs. Kimble Dillinger also singled and drove in two runs while Landon Davis walked twice.
Cade Adkins, Parker Knight and Chris Robinson each pitched one inning for the Eagles.
Eupora 12, Northside 0
The Eagled finished off the sweep of Northside with a perfect game by Reed Hale to secure a playoff spot on Friday.
Eupora scored three in the first, one in the second and eight in the third inning.
Eupora had just four hits but took advantage of eight walks and nine errors by Northside.
Landon Davis doubled and had two RBIs for the Eagles while Parker Knight, Ty Murphy and Carter May each singled and scored two runs.
Hale pitched the three-inning perfect game as he struck out 11 of the 12 batters he faced.
