POTTS CAMP – East Webster sophomore Ali Azlin was a double winner at the 2A North State girls track meet with victories in the 1600 and 3200. She advances to the 2A state meet Saturday at Pearl High School, along with the girls 800 and 3200 relay teams.
The top four in each event qualified for the state meet. Both relay teams finished fourth.
Eupora qualified one boy and one girl for the state meet. Parker Blaylock was second in the boys shot put and Nadia Robinson fourth in the girls shot put. They were Eupora's only participants at North State.
Members of East Webster's 800 girls relay team are Da'Nasia Logan, Aaliah Anderson, Mikeyia Strong and Kadasha Bryant. Azlin anchored the 3200 team and was joined by Hallie Walls, Jamy Carroll, and Jalyn Brock.
Other East Webster participants at the North State meet were Carter Flora, eighth in the boys 300 hurdles, while the girls 400 relay team was fifth and the 1600 team was eighth.
