Rosters for the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game and the Bernard/Blackwell North/South All Star Game will be announced October 2 at a press conference at the Mississippi High School Activities Association office in Clinton.
The Mississippi-Alabama game will be played Saturday, December 10 at M.M. Roberts Stadium at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, with kickoff at noon. Mississippi won the last two games, but Alabama leads in the series which began in 1988 22-10.
Brad Breland of Union is Mississippi's head coach. He will be assisted by Joey Tompkins of Winona, Tyler Peterson of Brandon, Tim Shramek of Germantown, Patrick Schoolar of Neshoba Central, Anthony Dillon of Oxford and Quenton Euell of Velma Jackson. Derrick Hooker of South Delta is the scout coach and Howard McNeill and Kenny Robinson of Mize administrative coaches.
The North/South game is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. December 21 at Gulfport High School. Head coaches are Clinton Gatewood of Greenwood for the North and Tony Vance of Hattiesburg for the South.
North assistant caches are Allen Glenn of Amory, Cary Weaver of Greenwood, Marcus Rogers of Holmes County Central, Chris Daniels of H.W. Byers, Sam Williams of Pelahatchie and Jermaine Dobbs of Yazoo County. Scout coach is Sheldon Hodge of Amanda Elzy.
For the South, assistants are Donovan Tate of Hattiesburg, Dante Durr of Mount Olive, Chad Collums of Raleigh, Brinson Walls of South Pike, John Feaster of Stone and Jeremy Loy of Wesson, with Toby Collums of Nothwest Rankin as scout coach.
