This past weekend was the College Football Playoff semifinals, and one of the best yet.
Alabama and Clemson will face off for the NCAA Championship next Monday after winning their games. This will be the fourth time in the past four years that Alabama and Clemson will play each other in the playoff, and the third time in the Championship.
Alabama played a great game against Oklahoma sending them to the Championship defeating the Sooners 45-34. Kyler Murray had a great game in what may have been his final football game. Tua Tagnavailoa demolished the Oklahoma defense where the Crimson tide put up as many yards as they did. Tua and Kyler Murray once again proved they are some of the best in College Football.
Clemson played against Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl where Clemson embarrassed the Irish, 30-3. Trevor Lawrence dominated with 327 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. Clemson put up 538 yard of total offense, and the defense held Notre Dame to only 248 yards.
Notre Dame seemed like it could not get anything to go tits way. I think some college football fans came to realization that Trevor Lawrence, is “the man”.
This will be Alabama’s fourth straight appearance in the championship game as well as Clemson’s third in the past four years. Both teams are undefeated so we are guaranteed the first 15-0 season in history. Both teams have dominated this season, crushing everyone in their path to the playoffs. This is one of the greatest post-season rivalries in all of sports. The game all of college football cannot wait for.
The seniors at both schools have played this game since their freshman year and have the other team's number. This will also be their last college football game, and ending it with a Championship could not get any better.
Both coaches are legends of college football and hope to lead their team to a National Championship. It will be a battle of quarterbacks and a battle of defenses. As Clemson is ranked second in the nation in scoring defense, with Bama behind them at fourth. Both teams are also in the top five in scoring offense as well, so this should be a great game.
I predict Clemson to win this game 31-27, winning the school's third National Championship.
