After a review into an incident at J.Z. George High School, the Mississippi High School Athletics Association has ruled that the Choctaw County Lady Chargers can continue with district play after a melee broke out at the very end of the Choctaw County v. JZ George girl’s game.

Chargers open baseball/softball play

As basketball wraps up, baseball and softball are just now gearing up. This weekend, the Chargers and Lady Chargers open play back on the diamond.

Saturday, the Chargers open play in Decatur in the Newton County Jamboree and the Lady Chargers open play in Kosciusko at Landrum Field.

Chargers defeat Eagles on Senior night, focus in on district tournament

In a makeup game, the Choctaw Chargers defeated the J.Z. George Jaguars 70-53 In the Cobb. There were very few fans at this game as administration and sheriff deputies were very visible throughout the game.

The Chargers and Jags had to play in Ackerman due to a fight breaking out before their game.
