Wildcats take solid win; prepare for Homecoming battle

Coming out early and punching teams in the mouth has been a formula for success for years for the Louisville High School football team and the Wildcats don’t intend on stopping now. The Wildcats did it once again last Friday night as they scored 21 points in the first half and were well on their way to the win.

Qualifying required for MHSAA state cross country meet

There will be qualifying for the Mississippi High School Activities Association state cross country meet for the first time this year. In past years, there was no qualifying. Teams that wanted to compete just had to show up the day of the race.

Winston Academy rolls to 4-2

After starting the season 0-2, the Winston Patriots have started bringing electricity back into the football program as they defeated the Tri County Rebels from Flora 14-0 to improve their record to 4-2. The win placed the Patriots in first place in their division with district games against Canton and Clinton Christian remaining.

Eupora, EW runners take part in Eagle Claw Invitational

East Webster was second and Eupora third for girls out of six teams at the Eagle Claw Invitational cross country meet hosted by Eupora High School. In the boys race, Eupora was fourth and East Webster fifth of nine teams. French Camp was the girls winner with a team score of 27, followed by East Webster with 54 and Eupora with 84.
