Tigers focus on final two games

The Noxapater football team has a bye week to get prepared for its last two games of the season. The Tigers were scheduled to play at Ethel this week, but that game was canceled so Ethel could make up a division game that it missed. Noxapater heads into the bye week with a 2-6 overall mark and 2-4 region record.

Nanih Waiya reaches volleyball milestone

The Nanih Waiya High School volleyball team recorded two firsts this season, winning the division tittle and participating in the playoffs. Lady Warriors head coach Dayna Hunter said it was a valuable learning experience. “Until Tuesday we had never played in the playoffs and it showed at times,” Hunter said.

Noxapater volleyball closes out 2020 season

The Lady Tigers of Noxapater High School ran into one of the strongest volleyball teams in MHSAA Class 1A last Tuesday night as they travelled to Pascagoula to take on Resurrection Catholic High School on Tuesday night for the opening round of the playoffs. Resurrection took a 25-11, 25-9, 25-7 win in the three-set sweep.
