Noxapater opens with game against Eupora

There was plenty of rain that hit the ground at Noxapater on Friday.

And according to Noxapater football coach Roy Rigsby, there were plenty of Tiger footballs on the ground as well.

The Tigers hosted J.Z. George and Philadelphia on Friday, falling 6-0 to the Jaguars and 26-0 to the Tornadoes.

Winston loses opener to defending State Champs

The Winston Patriots opened the 2021 football season by starting at the top with the defending 5A State Champions, Leake Rebels.

After hanging with the champs in a thriller first half, the second half became a killer as the Pats fell from a 14-7 halftime deficit to a 35-7 final.
