Nanih Waiya looking to basketball playoffs

One Nanih Waiya team advanced in the playoffs while the other saw its season come to an end.

The Warriors opened up the Division 5-2A Tournament with a 36-33 win over Lake. They followed with an 89-32 loss to Newton and 48-34 loss to Philadelphia to finish fourth in the division.

College baseball kicking off

The defending National Champion Mississippi State Bulldogs will open their 2022 season on Friday afternoon by hosting Long Beach State in the first game of a three-game series. The Bulldogs are one of six SEC teams ranked in the Top 10 preseason polls. The Dogs were selected to finish second in the SEC West behind Arkansas in preseason polls.
