Nanih Waiya basketball debuts with mixed results

The Nanih Waiya boys basketball team opened up the season by winning two out of three games last week. The Warriors took a 61-35 win over French Camp and then dropped a 55-47 decision to Pisgah. They finished out the week on Saturday as they beat Enterprise 55-47.

Louisville girls, boys varsity basketball underway

A new season is here for the Louisville Wildcats on the hardwood, and the girls squad has started off strong. The team started the year 1-1 after a split in the opening week against McAdams and Hartfield Academy. The Lady Wolverines were back on track last week on the road in Columbus against an always-tough Columbus Lady Falcon team.

Grace Christian looks to bounce back this week

Both the Grace Christian boys and girls basketball teams had a 2-2 record in their four game week, with both teams earning wins over Meridian Homeschool and Victory Christian. Both teams took tough losses to Noxapater and Columbus Christian.

Louisville shuts out Ripley, next up Caledonia in third round

Louisville has dominated just about every team in its path over the course of the last eight weeks, but perhaps its toughest opponent was coming in the second round of the Class 4A playoffs last Friday. The Wildcats were welcoming in a Ripley team that had an identical 10-1 record on the season and was coached by legendary Perry Liles.
