French Camp boys get first win of hoops season over Winona

The French Camp boys picked up their first win of the basketball season this past week. The Panthers started fast and took a 43-31 win over Winona on Thursday after falling 69-50 to J.Z. George. The Lady Panthers did not play J.Z. George on Tuesday after the Lady Jaguars were forced to cancel their game.

Chargers stumble in playoffs, fall to Charleston Tigers

The Charleston Tigers distinguished the fire of the Choctaw Chargers Friday night as the Tigers advanced to the North Half Championship game against Eupora. The Tigers defeated the Chargers 54-14. The Chargers couldn’t get anything going during the first half of the game. It was littered with penalties, three-and-outs, fumbles, and frustration.

Noxapater basketball coach Pasty Cleveland had a good first week with her Lady Tigers basketball team. The Lady Tigers picked up two wins last week after going winless last season, beating Choctaw County 52-46 and Grace Christian 55-36.
