Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. held it Joint Founders day program on January 26 at the Bethel MB Church in Starkville. Rho Nu Zeta chapter of Kosciusko was one of the host chapter from the Golden Triangle area. The theme was "Recharged and Rededicated to helping the community."
The fraternity was founded on January 9, 1914 and sorority was founded in January 16, 1920 on the campus of Howard University in Washington D.C. They are the only constitutionally bounded fraternity and sorority.
Bro. Jean B Lamothe, International 1st Vice President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was the guest speaker. He is a native of Zaire, Africa and graduated from Ruthers University in New Brunswick.
Virginia Thomas of Rho Nu Zeta Chapter received the Blu Flame Lifetime Service Award for her 42 years of membership and dedicated services to the sorority.
